Privacy Policy
Symbion is provided by H Decisions, Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Symbion, including our apps and the symbion.sh website (our "services"), why we collect it, how it is shared, and the choices you have.
Much of Symbion runs on your own device. What it records there stays on your device, except as this policy describes.
Information you give us
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and the organizations and workspaces you belong to.
- Requests for early access, such as your name, email address, and what you tell us about your work, team and tools.
- Content you create or provide, such as prompts, messages, tasks, notes, the decisions and rules you save, files and images you attach, and your voice when you use dictation.
- Feedback and reports you send us, including any files or screenshots you add, with basic information about your app, device and account.
- Information from services you connect, such as a sign-in service, or a code-hosting account you use to confirm your organization.
Information we collect when you use our services
- Your work sessions: the content of your work sessions with AI agents and how your agents operate, including the questions they ask, the answers given, the messages they exchange, and the instructions they are given.
- Information we generate, such as assessments, summaries and suggestions about your work, and the choices you make about them.
- Activity and preferences, such as when you work, the status of your active sessions, and the settings you choose.
- AI tool accounts: information about the AI tool accounts you use with Symbion, such as the account's email address, plan and usage levels. This never includes their passwords or credentials.
- Device and diagnostic information, such as app version, device identifiers, information used to deliver notifications, and information that helps us find and fix problems.
- Website and connection information, such as IP address, browser type, approximate location (country) and the page that referred you.
Our website does not use cookies or trackers for analytics or advertising. Our hosting and security providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary to keep the site available and secure.
Why we collect information
- To provide our services: to record and show your work, keep it available across your devices, and let your organization see the work it owns.
- To analyze your work, so we can show you how effectively you direct AI agents and suggest improvements. This is the core of Symbion.
- To maintain and improve our services, including fixing problems you report.
- To communicate with you, for example to reply to a request, confirm your email address, send messages about your account, or tell you when a problem you reported is fixed.
- To understand interest in Symbion and plan our product.
- To protect our services and our users, for example by preventing abuse and keeping accounts secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here.
With your organization
If you connect Symbion to an organization, or sync work to a workspace an organization manages, that organization can see the work, and work it owns belongs to it. Inside the organization, what people can see depends on their role: administrators and owners, people with access to a project, and people who lead your team or manage your projects. Some information, such as your personal instructions for your agents, is visible only to you. Your personal workspace is not visible to organizations you belong to, and neither is feedback you send us. Your organization's own policies may apply to the information it controls.
With AI tools you use
Symbion uses the AI coding tools you connect, under your own account with them, to help analyze your work. Those providers handle that information under your agreement with them and their privacy policies.
With service providers
We use providers that help us run our services, such as hosting, storage, analysis, search, speech recognition, sign-in, notifications, email, security and issue tracking. They process information on our behalf and under our instructions, and they must protect it.
For legal reasons
We may share information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable government request; to enforce our terms; to detect or prevent fraud, security or technical problems; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
With your consent
We share information in other cases only with your consent.
Your choices and controls
- You can see what Symbion recorded on your device, and delete any of it at any time: a session, a project or everything.
- Depending on your plan, you choose which projects sync to a workspace, and you can stop syncing a project. Work that belongs to an organization you connect to may sync to it without a separate choice.
- Dictation is optional.
- You choose what goes into feedback or a report, and you can remove a screenshot before you send it.
- You can contact us to close your account, or to ask to access, correct or delete your information. If your organization manages your workspace, contact it about the information it controls.
Security
We work to protect your information. For example, Symbion removes passwords, keys and similar secrets it detects from your work before it is sent for analysis or added to search, and access to workspace information is limited by role. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure.
Retention and deletion
- Information on your device stays there until you delete it.
- Work synced to a workspace, including your earlier history, is kept with no fixed time limit. Work that belongs to an organization stays with it, even if you stop syncing or leave the organization.
- The service we use to analyze your work does not keep the content it analyzes. We keep the results.
- We do not receive or keep your dictation audio. Our speech recognition provider does not keep the audio or the text it produces, and keeps only usage and billing records.
- Copies we make to help you search cover recent work, and are removed when you withdraw, hide or retire the original.
- The status of an active session is kept only while it is active.
- We keep feedback and reports for as long as we need them to support and improve Symbion, including after your account closes. We keep your email address with a report only to tell you when it is fixed, and remove it when your account is deleted.
- We keep early-access requests to manage access to Symbion. You can ask us to delete yours.
- When your account is deleted, we delete the personal information tied to it, except work that belongs to an organization, feedback and reports you sent, and information we must keep for legal or security reasons.
International transfers
We and our service providers process information in several countries, including the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. These may be outside the country where you live. Wherever it is processed, we protect your information as this policy describes.
Children
Symbion is made for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time. We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top.
